We’re seeking a hands-on, data-capable Fleet & Asset Manager to oversee the maintenance, availability, and operational readiness of our national fleet and equipment. This includes trucks, forklifts, sweepers, and other machinery, as well as our container and box module assets across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate is both mechanically minded and digitally capable, someone who can fix things on the ground and manage asset data with precision. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fleet and equipment are fit for purpose, safe, and available to support our removals and storage operations with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Equipment Management
Oversee maintenance schedules and servicing for all vehicles, including trucks, forklifts, sweepers, and machinery
Implement and monitor preventative maintenance plans to reduce downtime
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all assets are safe, compliant, and operational
Coordinate repairs and liaise with external service providers as needed
Maintain accurate records of vehicle registration, servicing, and compliance
Asset Oversight (Containers & Modules)
Track and manage the national inventory of containers and box modules
Ensure all storage assets are fit for purpose, clean, and structurally sound
Monitor asset movements between sites and update records accordingly
Identify damaged or underutilised assets and coordinate refurbishment or disposal
Data & Systems
Maintain up-to-date asset registers using spreadsheets and internal systems
Analyse usage data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with operations and finance teams to support asset planning and budgeting
Ensure compliance with WHS and Chain of Responsibility obligations
Skills & Attributes
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, and asset tracking systems
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Clear communicator with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working across multiple sites and coordinating nationally
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in fleet, asset, or maintenance management (transport or logistics preferred)
HR Truck Licence.
Forklift Licence – preferred or willing to obtain.
WHS awareness and commitment to safety standards
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g. NHVAS, Chain of Responsibility)
