Your new role

As an Employment Service Officer, you will play an integral role in assisting job seekers with online employment services. The online employment services is the Australian Government's employment services platform which allows job seekers to manage their job search and reporting requirements online.
In the role you will:

• Serve as the first point of contact, offering tailored guidance and support.
• Manage and resolve complex cases, escalating when necessary.
• Conduct assessments and apply strategies to address complaints.
• Use judgement to assess customer needs and refer to appropriate services.
• Mentor junior staff and identify learning opportunities.
• Adapt to changing priorities and daily work demands.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
• Research and analyse information to make informed decisions.
• Navigate multiple IT systems efficiently.
• Promote positive team culture and demonstrate professional behaviours.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in a contact centre environment or the employment services industry (preferably jobactive)
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously, navigate complex information and use sound judgement in making decisions
• Strong digital literacy, including the ability to navigate across multiple IT platforms in real time and type proficiently
