About the role
We are looking for a part-time, experienced receptionist with the enthusiasm, maturity and integrity to maintain the delivery of exceptional customer service. This role will involve performing ECGs and Holter monitors on patients for which full training will be given, so the candidate must be comfortable with direct patient contact. You must have solid communication skills with a focus to deliver excellence in patient care in a truly multitasking role. You will be pro-active and continuously seek ways to improve and streamline processes and promote a positive team work culture. We seek an approachable, reliable person who has proven ability and is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The working hours are 3 full days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 5pm.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Supporting the team to ensure exceptional customer service levels are delivered
Meeting and greeting patients
Scheduling appointments
Billing of medical consultations, testing and procedures
Preparation of medical correspondence and reports
Managing patient and other health care provider enquiries via telephone, email and in person
Patient data entry, processing payments and receipting accurately
Opening and closing the clinic
Direct patient contact by performing ECG's and fitting Holter Monitors
General administrative duties as required
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
Previous experience in a specialist medical environment is a must with cardiology being highly desirable
Meticulous attention to detail and data entry skills
Highly organised, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Good IT knowledge with experience using Healthtrack Medical Systems advantageous
Ability to use initiative and work both independently and as a part of a team
High level interpersonal and written communication skills
Professional disposition and personal presentation
Mature, sensitive and empathetic approach to patient car
