The About
Ilora is a WA‑based, outcomes‑led organisation running Supported Independent Living homes with experienced, steady teams backed by decision‑makers who know the job and stand by their crew. We bring a combination of direct, hands‑on work and formal qualifications in Community Sector Management, Mental Health, Disability Advocacy and Studies, Business Administration, Community Services, and Individualised Supports — along with years of direct work in community and SIL settings.
At Ilora, a safe, stable home comes from valuing and collaborating with everyone in it — those who live there and the staff. With over a decade in the industry, we’ve seen the impact of unclear systems, unstable rosters, limited recovery time, poor management, and not feeling safe to raise concerns.
Ilora has invested in robust AI CRM systems and technology, and continues to develop them as our team grows. This helps us address one of the biggest industry challenges — compassion fatigue. This type of burnout develops when work is carried out within poor systems, unstable structures, and without enough recovery time. It’s a common reason skilled workers move on to roles with greater stability and less strain.
We know these roles need the right structure to be sustainable. Our approach removes those pressure points so you can stay connected to your role and remain a steady, trusted part of each household. That’s why we reinvest in our team — supporting health and wellbeing goals and encouraging a work‑life balance that makes this role sustainable in the long term.
We design rosters and benefits that protect health, keep balance, and safeguard against compassion fatigue — while allowing proper time to recharge. Every full‑time team member gets consecutive days off each week, with a balance of day shifts and night/morning shifts. It’s predictable, fair, and sustainable.
No corporate naff, no provider‑network chatter, and no NDIS services cut‑and‑paste spiel — just well‑run homes, reliable teams, clear expectations, and an organisation that values both the person‑centred work and the individual doing it.

The Workplace Culture
We keep things organised and easy to follow. Rosters are set at least four weeks in advance, and changes are uncommon. If something does need to shift, it’s sorted quickly and with clear communication.
Our approach is built to protect health, wellbeing, and work‑life balance. That means proper recovery time, predictable rosters, and a focus on long‑term sustainability. We keep the workplace calm, respectful, and safe — where people’s skills, time, and professionalism are recognised and valued.
Cultural respect is non‑negotiable. We work in a way that honours the diverse backgrounds of both staff and the people who live in our homes — including First Nations peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people of all genders, cultures, and identities. We have a zero‑tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, and abuse in any form — whether directed at staff, the household, or visitors.
We support open communication about boundaries — making them clear, upholding them consistently, and ensuring they’re respected by everyone.
Our benefits reflect and encourage diversity — including monthly social events that give the team a chance to shake off work mode and code‑switch into a more relaxed social vibe together.
