Event & Sales Manager
Laundy Hotel Group
Lane Cove HQ + plenty of time seaside at Watsons Bay & riverside at The Log Cabin
Love a good party... but love selling them even more? If you're the type who can woo a client, hit a target, and still remember the canapé count, we need to talk. We're on the hunt for an Event Sales Manager who can bring the big ideas (and bigger bookings) to two of Sydney's most iconic venues: Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel and The Log Cabin.
This is not your standard desk job. Yes, you'll be based at our Lane Cove HQ, but you'll also be where the fun happens by the harbour, by the river, and everywhere in between.
What you'll actually be doing (besides sipping the occasional spritz):
- Turning "just enquiring" into "just booked" — again and again.
- Being the trusted guide for clients from first hello to final cheers.
- Teaming up with venue legends to deliver seamless, memorable events.
- Juggling sales targets, budgets, and reports like a total pro.
- Selling dreams, not just function packages.
What we're looking for (aka your party tricks):
- Event sales or event management experience — hospitality or venues are our sweet spot.
- A proven record of smashing sales targets (and doing a victory dance after).
- Organisation skills so sharp they could slice wedding cake.
- People skills that win over brides, corporates, and Uncle Barry at the bar.
- Bonus points if you've wrangled weddings or large scale events before.
The Laundy Story
Four generations, countless beers poured, and a legacy built on good old-fashioned hospitality, that's the Laundy way.
It all started in 1945 with the Sackville Hotel in Rozelle and grew into one of NSW's most recognisable hospitality families. Today, with 40+ venues from trusty locals to beachfront playgrounds, Laundy is where people gather, celebrate, and create stories. Think Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, The Log Cabin, Woolwich Pier, Marsden Brewhouse... the list goes on (and so do the good times).
We vibe best with people who are:
- Accountable - Own it. Fix it. Nail it.
- Curious - Ask "why" and "what if" often.
- Collaborative - Because legends don't work alone.
- Driven - You hustle hard without losing your cool.
How to apply
Yes, we want your CV. But what we really want is your cover letter. And not the boring kind. Make it cheeky, make it clever, make us remember you.
Hot tip: If you could rename "event sales" to something way cooler (or funnier), what would you call it? ️
Hot tip: If you had to pitch yourself as the headline act at a festival, what would the poster say?

About Laundy Hotels
The Laundy family have been in the hotel industry for three generations. Arthur (Snr) and Veronica Laundy started the business in 1945 with the Sackville Hotel, Rozelle.
Moving to the west they purchased land at Bass Hill in 1962 and built the Twin Willows Hotel. Although it looks very different today, the Twin Willows is still the headquarters of the Laundy Enterprise.
At that time Arthur (Jnr) had his own leasehold of the Royal Exhibition Hotel, Surry Hills.
In 1969 tragedy struck – Arthur (Snr) died when the light plane he was piloting went down in Burrendong Dam, Wellington. He, along with 3 staff members, was killed.
Arthur (Jnr) was thrust into control, left to run the family’s two hotels – The Twin Willows and the Hume Hotel, Yagoona. Arthur (Jnr) married Margaret Paul in 1970. Together they moulded what was to become their empire. They thrived in the hotel industry, going from strength to strength. In 2004 Arthur (Jnr) was invested as an AM.
