ABOUT THE ROLE
The Community Education Officer will play a vital role in empowering students with life-saving skills through St John NT’s First Aid in Schools Program. This non-accredited training is delivered to students from pre-school through to senior years, supporting our mission to save lives and build resilience across the Territory.
As part of the Strategy, Brand and Engagement team, you will:
- Deliver engaging first aid sessions to students of all ages.
- Promote St John NT’s mission, services, and community initiatives.
- Tailor training approaches to suit different learning styles.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and improvement of the program.
ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about making a difference and confident in engaging with students of all ages, from young pre-schoolers through to senior students and even first-time parents. While prior knowledge of first aid is an advantage, it is not essential.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
- Enthusiasm for education and community safety.
- A proactive and flexible approach to learning and delivery.
