The Role:

This role is ideal for a trade-qualified fabricator/welder/boilermaker/machinist who has evolved into design drafting and built a strong foundation in 3D CAD.

Key Responsibilities & You:

• Your shop-floor knowledge will be essential in making sure designs are practical, cost-effective, and efficient to build.
• You’ll be given autonomy across the full project lifecycle, producing detailed fabrication-ready drawings.
• Managing projects from concept through to completion.
• Working closely with workshop teams, sales, and clients to deliver designs that are manufacturable and meet project requirements.
• Designing mechanical and structural equipment, including hoppers, chutes, screens, conveyor parts, platforms, gates, and process equipment.
• Producing 3D CAD models and detailed fabrication drawings (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Reverse engineering and brownfield upgrades of existing equipment.
• Maintaining and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs), design files, and project documentation.
