MPDT have positions available for tractor slasher operators, Brush Cutters and Spray Rig Operators, to join our team in South Brisbane.

The role

You will be an essential part of our vegetation maintenance crews, safely operating specialised equipment to maintain vegetation across rail corridors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, tasks such as tractor slashing, mowing, weed control, herbicide application, weed identification, daily reporting, and site assessments.

You will also be accountable for maintaining safe working practices and achieving quality work standards.

About you

Be a confident self-starter that is safety conscious and willing to develop and grow your capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience in grass cutting or tractor operations, MPDT will provide all other relevant training and tickets needed for the role.

Qualifications / Experience

MR truck license

General Construction Induction Card (White Card)

ACDC license

Manual car license

Tractor and slasher tickets

Experience in weed identification

Experience & knowledge in use of handling agriculture chemicals

Experience with equipment operations & maintenance (zero turn mowers, tractor slashers, brush-cutters)

Ability to pass a police check

Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
