Enviro Trees is looking to hire an Arborist Operations Supervisor based in either Brisbane (Southside) or the Gold Coast region working across the greater SEQ and Far Northern NSW region.
This newly created position will lead operations of an Arborist Crew to enable fulfilment of new contractual requirements.
This opportunity will provide further career progression for a motivated person & also the potential to complete training & qualification in AQF 5 Diploma of Arboriculture.
The purpose of this newly created position.
To drive the profitable growth of the Enviro Trees business by establishing, training and growing directly employed and individual contracted (Climber, ground person or truck/chipper combination) arborist crews on newly awarded contracts.
To accurately estimate and quote a variety of tree works.
Build Enviro Tree’s reputation as a high quality and cost-effective service provider via planning, organisation and execution of arborist crews under the control of this role.
To ensure Enviro Trees arborist crews operate in compliance with all regulatory requirements and in line with Enviro Trees policies and procedures.

Functions & tasks for the Arborist Operations Supervisor
Quoting of Tree Works:
Work with Enviro Trees Customer Care team to schedule and attend sites to assess & cost jobs
Use of Enviro Trees technology applications & methodologies to quote & cost new work and provide supporting information in line with requirements
Provide relevant operational site details to operations
Complete a target of 6 to 8 site attendances a day for quoting of works
Successfully secure jobs that have been quoted, with a success rate of 75%
Supervision and Leadership:
Directly supervise and manage direct employees and contract staff.
Plan and assign daily jobs & tasks, monitoring performance & completion of daily jobs & tasks and providing feedback.
Develop & foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Conduct weekly team toolbox meetings and individual check-ins with members of the team to communicate updates, address concerns.
Set the standard and ensure adherence to Enviro Trees policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Identify training needs of internal staff, and working with the Operations Manager, coordinate training & development opportunities for the team along with on-the-job mentoring. Working with the Operations Manager, handle any disciplinary actions in accordance with Enviro Trees HR policy.
Operational Management:
Use of Enviro Trees technology applications and methodologies to:
Quote & cost new work and provide supporting information in line with requirements, e.g., correct tree, tree work required (pruning or removal), impacted structure information provided, etc.
Plan and schedule daily work activities for Tree Crews, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to complete work allocated
Monitor progress of work against schedules and job budgets, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
Where required attend site works as a lead climber or supervisor for reporting, analysis and data measurement for performance improvements to quoted hours.
Ensure that all necessary equipment, and tools are available and in good working order for the Tree Crew teams.
Troubleshoot problems that arise in the field with the Tree Crews and implement effective solutions to overcome these problems.
Safety and Compliance:
Prioritise safety in all Tree Crew operations, ensuring that staff & subcontractors follow Enviro Trees & WHS safety policies and procedures.
Conduct daily site risk assessments on all jobs with the Tree Crews to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Report all near misses, accidents and incidents to the Operations Manager and together investigate and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
Communication and Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the Tree Crews, Enviro Trees Customer Care Team and management.
Communicate effectively with the Enviro Trees Customer Care team.
Communicate effectively with clients, and stakeholders.
Prepare and submit a weekly report relating to Tree Crew operations to management, including job status updates, challenges, and successes.
Facilitate clear and concise communication within Tree Crew teams & with the Subcontractors working with these Tree Crew teams.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor & audit the quality of work performed by Tree Crew teams to ensure they meet established standards and client expectations & address any quality issues that arise.
Provide feedback to staff on quality performance and areas for improvement.
Compliance with client specific requirements (induction, WH&S, communication etc.)
What Qualifications & Experience are required for this position:
Minimum AQF Level 3 Certificate 3 in Arboriculture
5+ years of relevant industry experience working in Arboriculture with a minimum of 2 years as a Lead Tree Climber or Crew Supervisor
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the Arboriculture industry
Experience in pricing relevant types of tree work (e.g. Facility Maintenance, Schools, Public & Tenanted Housing)
Valid Driver’s Licence, MR Licence preferred
