Experienced Marine Aquarium Store Assistant

Our client is looking for 2 enthusiastic Store Assistants to join their young, vibrant team.

Position: Full time / Part time

Pay: $26-50 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service and sales support

Clean and maintain saltwater aquarium tanks and equipment

Monitor water quality (salinity, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate)

Assist with tank setups, coral care, and livestock acclimation

Perform manual handling (lifting up to 20kg + )

Keep the store clean, organised, and welcoming

Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment

Requirements

Proven sales experience and in-depth knowledge of marine fish, corals, aquarium set up etc

Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg+

Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions

Can work independently and as part of a team

Flexible availability (Mon–Fri between 12pm–6pm, some weekend work)

Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport

Able to pass a National Police Check

At least 2 years of hands-on marine aquarium experience (even as a hobbyist)
