The Finance and Corporate Services Directorate is seeking a Financial Systems and Compliance Officer to join their team at the Adelaide office on a full-time term basis.
The role is responsible for:
Managing the preparation and review of documents, briefings and business cases related to the directorate's administrative activities.
Coordinating the delivery of timely and cost-effective fleet management functions for the department.
Overseeing departmental financial transactions, reporting and accounts management, providing expert advice on systems and processes.
Providing a range of accounting and financial management policy development and advisory services.
Managing financial business services for the department including liaising with staff to identify new or existing service delivery requirements and issues.
To be successful, you will have:
Knowledge in mentoring staff including providing leadership to support service delivery whilst maintaining a high level of financial accountability.
Experience in coordinating and supervising the delivery of business and financial management services.
Proficiency in effective communication including providing expert advice and reports, conducting successful negotiations and resolving conflict.
Knowledge of government financial policies and advanced IT skills, particularly in data management, reporting systems and Excel.
Expertise in delivering positive outcomes by applying competence, initiative, and sound judgment whilst identifying improvements, solving problems and meeting deadlines.
