Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in data governance roles – policy creation, frameworks, and compliance
• Strong background with Azure cloud platforms and Power BI
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and GIT for data management and reporting
• Hands-on use of data governance tools such as MS Purview (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks (COBIT, ISO27001, GDPR, DMBOK, ISO 42001)

Responsibilities

• Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes
• Monitor and improve data quality, lineage, and metadata management
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including the Privacy Act
• Partner with security, architecture, and technology teams to align data solutions
• Educate and support stakeholders in best practices for dashboards and reporting
