They are fast becoming a renowned leader in the travel and leisure industry and have a newly created position for a Product Designer to assist in developing, refining and scaling their new design system.

Duties of the Role
- Work closely with the Product Design Lead and the Product Management team
- Review and assess the current design system, identify gaps, and prioritise short-term opportunities
- Define and present an actionable roadmap to accelerate adoption among design and engineering teams
- Develop and maintain a robust design token structure, along with guidelines and workflows for seamless implementation across web, mobile, and desktop platforms
- Create and document reusable, high-quality UI components and interaction patterns, ensuring adherence to strong visual and UX standards, including accessibility requirements
- Advocate for the strategic benefits of a scalable design system, providing education and guidance to designers, engineers, and product managers
- Lead onboarding sessions, produce clear documentation, and nurture a culture of best-practice adoption
- Establish metrics to measure adoption, usage, and impact, and use these insights to drive continuous improvement
- Optimise Figma workflows through advanced plugins, automation, and AI tools to improve the design-to-development handover process
The ideal Candidate
- 5+ years’ experience in UX/UI or product design roles, with at least 2 years focused specifically on design systems
- Advanced expertise in Figma, including plugin creation, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
- Solid technical understanding of Storybook, front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks), and the ability to work closely with engineers on implementation
- Demonstrated experience in building design token frameworks and driving efficient design-to-development processes
- Strong visual design and UX capabilities, with a track record of delivering elegant, scalable solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain and champion the value of a design system to stakeholders at all technical levels
