Immediate Contract Opportunity for a Data Engineer to work on the scaling of a global application. You must be based in Sydney or Brisbane and be available immediately or with a short notice period.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a cross-functional team and ensure high quality data is accessible for a variety of products.
You will responsible for:

• Developing data pipelines and architecture that is scalable & secure (Snowflake & DBT)
• Proven experience in data governance and MDM and partnering with data stewards, owners to help drive a mature data culture
• Query execution & optimisation
• Identifying and fixing data quality issues
• Optimisation of data models
• Data streaming - Spark, Kafka, etc.

Required Skillset:

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Architect
• Data pipelines in Snowflake, DBT, AWS Glue, Postgres
• Strong MDM and Data Governance experience
• Streaming leveraging tools including Kafka, Spark, etc.
• Agile, CD & DevOps ways of working
• Ability to work within an environment that is fast-paced, high energy and with changing priorities - start up feel
• Ability to speak Spanish is desirable
