STREAT is a Melbourne based social enterprise, operating its hospitality enterprises to fund and support training for disadvantaged young people.

We are currently looking for a suitably experienced chef de partie to join our production team at our flagship site in Collingwood. You will become an integral part of our team, using your skills to produce high quality products, helping plan the day to ensure a smooth workflow and a successful morning service.
You will be part of a diverse team, so you must be motivated, eager and highly competent with a calm demeanor. You’ll be working alongside our trainees and guiding them in developing their own kitchen skills.

A non negotiable is the 5am start as the food must leave the kitchen to be delivered on time. The role is initially casual with a full time position a potential option.

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 3 years kitchen experience

A relevant cookery qualification (min.Cert. III)

Capable of performing well under pressure

Possess a solid understanding of food safety standards

High attention to detail

Excellent communications skills

Be passionate about food

Be reliable and punctual

Previous experience in a similar role necessary.

You must have unrestricted work rights for Australia. You will require a current Working with Children Check before starting.
