Job Description

We are seeking for a hard-working and highly motivated individual for the role of Motor Mechanic who is able to work independently and with the team in our workshop located in southwestern suburb of Adelaide. We want an employee with a positive attitude towards the working environment and give their best in performing all the jobs assigned to them.

Motor Mechanic Position Description:

Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.

Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.

Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.

Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.

Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.

Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.

May inspect vehicles.

May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.

To be considered for this role, you should:

· Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics

· Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work

· Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment rewards given.

· Good customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

· Current driver's licence and your own reliable transport

Annual Salary: AUD 70,000 - 80,000
