Job Description

As an AIN/PCA working in the hospital and/or aged care setting, you will play a pivotal role in providing care to patients. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Assist with mobility and transfers, supporting patients to move safely and comfortably between beds, chairs and other equipment.

Assist in preparing and serving meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.

Providing companionship and emotional support to patients.

Following care plans and reporting any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Ensuring patients' privacy and dignity are maintained at all times

Requirements

Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care/ Disability or equivalent

Bachelor of Nursing students who have completed their first-year placements are eligible to apply

Flexibility to be able to work a variety of shift times

High level of customer service skills

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Understanding of the Aged Care standards and resident rights and responsibilities

Current National Police check with no disclosable outcomes (Required)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)

First Aid Certificate (Required)
