Machine Operator – Full Time Permanent

$70k plus super. 5-day week, working in Braeside. 7am-3pm

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and talented Machine Operator to help us make Australia’s healthiest dog food.

We take great pride in running a tight ship and doing things the right way. That’s why we make our Raw dog food to the highest standards, with human food safety standards, rigorous quality control, and an awesome team who communicate well and take great care.

You’ll be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining our machines to make sure that everything is in order to start and finish each workday.

Responsibilities:

Arrange the machines at the beginning of the workday to ensure that everything is in order

Test the machines before main work begins to be sure that they’re in good condition and ready for production

Ensure that machines are calibrated and recalibrated before and after production

Run the machine throughout the day and adhere to the required volume set by the supervisor

Troubleshoot machine problems to determine actual faults. Report serious faults to the production manager to engage with external technicians where necessary

Strictly adhere to job specification and ensure good quality work. Inspect final product, Report to the supervisor if the diced product is out of specification

Ensure timely preparation and availability of all production materials to avoid shortage during production

Clean up machines and parts after every workday/shift

Be actively involved in the preventive maintenance program

The right person will be:

Multi-year experience operating complex machinery in a food manufacturing facility

Experienced in reading and understanding technical manuals and effectively communicating with technicians to solve problems

Comfortable working with raw meat and fish in a chilled environment

Deep knowledgeable of mechanical devices

Able to thrive working independently

Able to multitask
