Australian Ceramics Engineering (ACE) is the market leader in the supply of wear protection systems, providing clients with complete material handling solutions—including design, fabrication, and on-site support—across Australia and around the world.

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a technically minded Engineer Estimator to join our high-performing operations team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a great opportunity for someone with exposure to engineering environments and a solid understanding of the manufacturing or bulk handling industry.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate quotations and budget estimates for a diverse range of projects, while also providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day will include:

Preparing and submitting client quotes using the ERP system in a timely and accurate manner

Responding to technical queries and escalating complex issues to the Technical Services Manager

Supporting bulk cataloguing and contract pricing activities as required

Providing cover for technical order processing and issuing to Production

Analysing costings using spreadsheets and managing material/labour estimation data

Creating and verifying job packs to support outsourced drafting requirements

Liaising with key stakeholders across departments to ensure accurate information flow

Supporting continuous improvement in estimation, quoting, and technical processes

You’ll play a key role in delivering quality service and timely technical responses, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and project success.

What we’re looking for

Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or bulk handling environment

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering data

Strong attention to detail with a technical mindset

Experience with ERP systems and quoting tools

Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels

Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT proficiency (Adobe Pro, Outlook, Word)

Ability to prioritise, work independently, and contribute within a team

An understanding of product inventory or materials cataloguing is advantageous

A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all tasks
