Full Time Position

This position is required for the manufacture of Aluminium Windows and Doors from our Bassendean production facility.

Salary Offered: $75,000-85,000 per annum + Superannuation (Depends on experience)

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Analyse plans and drawings and create product designs as per the customer requirement, cross check appropriate programming for CNC machines considering Aluminium profile type and efficient machine sequences.

2. Ability to set parameters, supervise cutting activities and quality inspection of the product, compile studies to analyse or compare production costs, estimates or project schedules.

3. Assemble and disassemble mechanical systems, test components, materials or products to determine performance, strength, or response to stress.

4. Design and oversee manufacture of complex aluminium window and door systems, have a solid understanding of Aluminium materials which are being used for production.

5. Including reading and analyse the customer’s detail 2D/3D shop drawings or engineering drawings and specifications and assist programming for the manufacturing.

6. AutoCAD based CAM software to input parameters, Program/adjust and provide G-codes for CNC cutting machine and prepare documentation for the required types of installation requirements.

7. Assist and coordinate CNC and Cutting Machines operations, design the layout of other machinery tools and equipment.

8. Analyses and modifies as required new and existing engineering technologies and applies them in evaluation of engineering projects. Analyses existing technologies and report on fit for purpose.

9. Makes recommendations on how to improve existing technologies and design and develop new mechanical devices and tools.

10. Runs technology through testing and routine maintenance procedures – preparing reliability schedules and complete documents and findings.

The successful applicant must have:

· At least 3 years of relevant work experience

· A bachelor’s degree or above qualification

· Work together and cooperate with engineers from related fields to carry out interdisciplinary work.

· Liaise with internal team to design blueprints and plans for ongoing and future engineering projects

· Perform engineering work associated with each engineer’s particular area.

· Assist and supervise the work of other engineers in relevant areas.

· Have the ability to be self-driven, learn quickly and have an eye for detail.

· Must be reliable and work in a structured and tidy manner.

· Ability to follow instructions, a positive working attitude work as a team and ensure work is undertaken in a safe manner.
