Novas' is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team in Dandenong South, Victoria. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials to support our building trade operations.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations in Dandenong South. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Storage
· Unload delivery vehicles and receive shipments.
· Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
· Check for damaged or missing items and report discrepancies.
· Store items in designated warehouse locations following proper procedures.
Sales Order Fulfillment
· Locate and retrieve items from storage based on customer orders (picking).
· Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
· Prepare orders for shipping, including generating necessary documentation.
Inventory Management
· Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
· Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
· Identify and report discrepancies in inventory levels.
· Ensure proper stock rotation to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
Other Responsibilities
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of packing materials.
· Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
· Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding inventory, orders, and operational issues.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the building trades industry
Strong operational and logistics management skills, with the ability to oversee all warehouse functions
Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
Proficient in inventory management, stock control and reporting
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
Forklift licence and experience in a warehouse environment preferred
