Park Avenue Wrought Iron (PAWI) is a boutique Melbourne-based manufacturer specializing in high-quality wrought iron, steel, and aluminium products, including gates, balustrades, fencing, and automation systems for over 70 years. With a reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and premium service, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced Metal Fabricator.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated metal fabricator who can produce custom architectural metalwork to the highest standard. You’ll work across a wide range of projects, from bespoke gates and fencing to detailed balustrades and architectural features.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication of steel, aluminium, and wrought iron products to drawings and specifications

MIG welding of mild steel and aluminium

Reading and interpreting technical drawings

Operation of fabrication machinery and tools (cold saws, drills, grinders, etc.)

Assisting with site installations as required

Maintaining a safe and organized workshop environment

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication or a related trade

Strong welding skills with excellent attention to detail and finish quality

Ability to read and interpret workshop/architectural drawings

Experience fabricating balustrades, gates, fencing, or architectural steelwork (preferred)

Current driver’s license (manual preferred) and ability to work independently or within a small team

White Card and Forklift License (preferred, or willing to obtain)
