The Opportunity: Reporting to the CEO and Operations Director, the Philanthropy Manager will lead the delivery of the major gifts-focused fundraising strategy, ensuring they have the income and partnerships needed to achieve their mission.
You will:
- Deliver and refine the Fundraising Plan in collaboration with the CEO, Board, and Fundraising Committee.
- Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, decision makers, and high-value prospects.
- Plan and deliver 2-4 donor events and 1-2 online fundraising campaigns annually to inspire giving and maximise outcomes.
- Expand bequests and grow the Equal ALLways future fund, while securing financial and in-kind partnerships.
- Maintain strong donor engagement, and track, report, and evaluate fundraising outcomes against strategic goals.
About you: You're a relationship-driven fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts and building high-trust partnerships. You thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and bring:
- Strong commitment to advancing LGBTIQ+ rights and equality, with knowledge of Australian politics and LGBTIQ+ communities.
- Minimum 5 years' professional fundraising experience, including major donors/high net worth individuals, donor portfolio management, and it would be beneficial to also have experience with planned giving and Gifts in Wills fundraising.
- Experience delivering high-impact fundraising events and campaigns.
- Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire, influence, and maintain confidentiality, at the highest level.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to balance multiple priorities while working collaboratively or independently with initiative and adaptability.
The Offer: This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid WFH arrangements. The offer is a salary of up to $140K plus super (FTE), 5 weeks' annual leave, wellbeing initiatives, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, values-driven team making a real impact for LGBTIQ+ communities.
