About the role and About You

Join an engaged, supportive team to bring the 'strat' to our strategic communications. We're looking for someone experience in writing lots of comms plans and contributing to their implementation, who can also turn their hand to speeches, media releases, articles and more.

You'll be a strong writer with a passion for serving the community, and happy to work in the best foodie heartland of Melbourne. Dandy Market across the road and the Afghan kebabs of Thomas St and Little India are right outside. It's not hard to find reasons to visit our teams in Springvale, where we can get the best banh mi … and help communicate all the incredible services and programs council provides to our diverse, vibrant community.

Experience in government or for-public purpose organisations will be highly regarded, but is not essential. Our role is 0.8 of full time, but there's flexibility in how these are worked. We work in a hybrid arrangement.

The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked toconsent to a national police check (and where relevant an 'international criminal history check'), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
