· Permanent full-time position located in Bundamba, Queensland

· Enterprise Agreement Rates apply.

· Salary on offer ranges between $78,000 – $92,000 per annum+ superannuation depending on skill and experience level.

Description

We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join our busy precast yard in Bundamba. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, positioning, and securing reinforcing steel for a range of precast concrete products, working from detailed drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality, accurate results.

You will work closely with our production team to assemble reinforcement cages to exact measurements, tie reinforcement and components directly into moulds, and ensure correct placement for adequate concrete coverage. This role requires precision, technical skill, and a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Read and interpret shop drawings and structural reinforcement details for each project

· Assemble reinforcement cages to precise specifications, ensuring structural integrity

· Tie reinforcement and components into moulds in line with design requirements

· Check dimensions, alignment, and clearances before concrete pouring

· Measure, cut, bend, and shape reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and machinery

· Maintain correct spacing and concrete coverage to meet engineering and compliance standards

· Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently

· Inspect completed reinforcement work to ensure accuracy and compliance

· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

· Follow site safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organised work environment

Minimum Requirements

· At least 1 year of Steel Fixing experience (precast experience highly regarded)

· A Certificate 3 in Steel Fixing is highly regarded but not mandatory

· Ability to travel to and from our Bundamba site for daily work

· Proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and structural reo details

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

· Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
