Osborne Richardson are trusted partners of all NSW Local Councils and we are delighted to be assisting one of our favourites at present. We have a fantastic role available with Canterbury Bankstown Council in South Western Sydney.
On this occasion, we are seeking an Injury Management and Workers Compensation Advisor to join the team until the end of 2025 and likely longer. Not only is this contract duration an absolute cracker but the pay rate is outstanding as well, coming in between $69 and $73 per hour + Super.
In this key role in the team, you will manage all aspects of workers compensation claims in accordance with SIRA requirements including the self-insurance licence requirements, the legislative framework and the claims management technical guides. In the course of your role, you will undertake a number of duties including:
- Undertaking claims management functions including assessments of liability, claims review, wage calculations and injury management activities
- Making decisions as to management of claims
- Preparing and maintaining workers compensation documents.
- Developing, maintaining and implementing Injury Management Plans.
- Ensuring that all workers compensation claimants are communicated with on a regular and systematic basis to ensure effective injury management and a high standard of customer service.
- Identifying gaps between claims management practices and SIRA requirements and making necessary improvements to system documentation
- Provision of timely and accurate workers compensation and injury management advice and guidance, including the interpretation of relevant legislation to managers and staff throughout the organisation.

We would love for you to demonstrate that you are in this bracket, so please critically review the following key success criteria against your own skills and experience:
- Previous claims management experience for a self insurer or scheme agent
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation to meet business requirements.
- Allied heath background will be beneficial to your application
- RTW Coordinator accreditation and/or experience.
- Previous experience using SolvInjury is highly sought after.
