Applications Portfolio Owner (Enterprise Apps.)

Our client, a leading global organisation, is seeking a Applications Portfolio Owner (Enterprise Apps.)to join their technology team on an initial 12-month contract or permanent basis.

In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of technology products and applications within a defined digital domain, ensuring they meet the needs of thousands of users across critical business functions. You will be responsible for driving the product roadmap, managing vendors, overseeing procurement and budgets, leading a team, and delivering continuous enhancements, bug fixes, and other ad-hoc improvements. This is a hands-on, proactive leadership role that requires both strategic vision and operational execution.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working across multiple technology products and applications, with a track record of building and scaling technology capabilities. Operating under a Plan-Build-Run model, the role requires a well-rounded technical background to balance 60% BAU operations with 40% project delivery.

Key Skills, Experience, and Background:

• Proven track record as a Applications Portfolio Owner in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Experience leading the planning, development, and ongoing management of enterprise platforms and applications.
• Demonstrated success in delivering multiple technology/digital products from inception to scale.
• Strong capability in project discovery, securing business cases, managing BAU support, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring compliance.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and adept at solving complex problems.
• Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision, set priorities, and ensure successful delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder, team, and vendor management skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
