Position Overview:
We are seeking our next Change Maker, Tradition Shaker, and Action Taker to join our team as a Human Resource Adviser.
If you are passionate about people, strategic about workforce planning, and ready to bring fresh ideas to recruitment, training, and employee engagement, this role is for you.
As a Human Resource Adviser at Enable Ability, you will be a trusted partner to management and staff, providing expert advice across the full HR spectrum, including recruitment, performance management, workplace relations, and policy development. You will help create a supportive and compliant workplace where our people can do their best work and grow their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with managers to identify workforce needs and develop strategies for talent acquisition and retention.
Advise on and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practice in line with legislation and organisational values.
Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
Support managers in performance management, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
Assist in the development and delivery of staff training and professional development programs.
Conduct job analysis, prepare position descriptions, and advise on classification and remuneration.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant laws, awards, and agreements.
Contribute to workforce planning, organisational development, and culture-building initiatives.
Keep up to date with employment legislation and HR trends to provide informed advice.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a human resources advisory role or similar position.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations frameworks, and HR best practice.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply HR policies, awards, and legislation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
