Civic Disability Services Limited is seeking a passionate and driven Human Resources Advisor to join us for a 12-month maternity leave cover. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Based in the Sutherland Shire and reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources Advisor will be responsible for providing support and advice to leaders and the wider workforce on a range of HR-related matters.
This role is all about relationships and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As such, the successful applicant will need to be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include but is not limited to:
Support the implementation of human resources best practice across all facets related to the employee lifecycle.
Be the first point of contact for HR queries received through the HR ticketing system to ensure timely and accurate response to all HR enquiries and actions.
Support the Talent Acquisition Business Partner with recruiting as required and participate in assessment centres.
Lead or co-facilitate group induction and training sessions.
Maintain HR compliance, probity and governance requirements.
Maintain and ensure accuracy within HR systems and administration processes that are required throughout the employment lifecycle such as employee file maintenance, onboarding, employment contracts, contract variations, workers compensation records, investigation records and offboarding processes.
Lead investigations, grievances and conflict resolution processes.
Coordinate Workers Compensation claims and manage recover at work plans.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
3+ years’ experience working in a similar role, ideally within Disability.
Formal qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Industrial Relations Legislation and Awards.
Previous experience working with HRIS and Rostering systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, namely excel.
