We are now seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team and support our next phase of growth.
Position Purpose
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering end-to-end HR support and strategy across FK Architects. This role partners closely with leaders to manage day-to-day HR matters, talent acquisition, and cyclical people programs, while also providing guidance and coaching to develop leadership capability. With the support of a HR Coordinator, the HRBP ensures HR practices reflect both compliance and the distinctive culture of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
General HR Support
Act as the first point of contact for all HR matters and deliver timely, practical advice to leaders and employees.
Ensure HR policies and practices are up to date, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
Leadership Partnering & Coaching
Partner with leaders across all project and corporate functions to build people capability.
Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, and people leadership.
Talent Management & Acquisition
Lead end-to-end talent acquisition: workforce planning, attraction, recruitment and onboarding.
Guide leaders on succession planning, talent development and retention strategies.
Cyclical HR Programs
Coordinate and manage annual HR activities: remuneration reviews, performance management cycles, and professional development programs.
Oversee learning and development initiatives to support career growth.
People Leadership
Manage and mentor the HR Coordinator to support their professional development and ensure high-quality HR service delivery.
Provide guidance and direction on day-to-day HR administration.
Culture & Engagement
Contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture that celebrates creativity and professionalism.
Ensure decisions are commercially sound, people-focused, and risk-aware, reflecting the firm’s balanced approach.
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (essential).
Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist position within professional services, design, or similarly creative industries (preferred).
Experience in managing or mentoring junior HR team members.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
Ability to work hands-on while also advising senior leaders on strategic people matters.
