This is a Fixed Term Full-time appointment for 6 months with the possibility of extension(s).
Position Profile: As part of the Digital and Data Innovation (DDI) team, the Strategy and Architecture Manager is responsible for transforming the technological capabilities of WACHS.
This role is accountable for:
- Developing and leading the strategic direction of enterprise architecture across WACHS.
- Managing the development, maintenance and application of standardised methods and procedures to ensure the efficient handling of enterprise solutions, data and application integrations, and technical architecture activities throughout WACHS.
- Participating in the development and approvals process for local WACHS ICT improvement and enhancement initiatives, and where required escalate these to Health Support Services as part of WA Health’s broader digital transformation journey.
- Investigating, researching and evaluating the appropriateness of emerging industry architecture practices and technologies and identifying any critical issues or opportunities for development and recommending best practice approaches.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
