About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will support individuals living with disabilities to achieve their goals, enhance their independence, and participate fully in the community.
You’ll be working in a person-centered environment, providing both in-home and community-based support tailored to the needs and preferences of each participant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties
* Support clients to engage in community, social, and recreational activities
* Assist with transport to appointments, shopping, or community events
* Implement and follow individual support plans
* Monitor and report on client well-being and progress
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and incident reports
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals
About You:
*You are a caring, patient, and empathetic individual with a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
*You have prior experience working in disability support, aged care, community services, or a similar field*
* You understand person-centered care and are committed to promoting independence, dignity, and choice
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* You can work independently and confidently manage your responsibilities
* You maintain professional boundaries, respect confidentiality, and approach your work with integrity
* You are flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a range of shifts (including mornings, evenings, weekends, or sleepovers, if required)
Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or equivalent
* Experience in a similar role is highly desirable
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (as per government requirements)
*NDIS orientation certificate
*Infection control certificate
*Passport or other primary document (100 points of ID)
*Assist Client with medication certificate
*NDIS effective communication certificate
*NDIS worker screening check
