Our Working Site Supervisors play a key leadership role on the ground, ensuring Allied’s service delivery meets client expectations and contract requirements—while leading by example with a hands-on approach.

Position Summary

The Working Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of cleaning staff and the coordination of site operations. This role combines team leadership with active cleaning duties and is central to ensuring the site meets hygiene, safety, and service standards.

As a site-based supervisor, you’ll be the key point of contact for Allied's clients, lead toolbox talks, manage task allocation, oversee quality inspections, and ensure compliance with WHS and site protocols. You’ll also help foster a positive team environment while upholding our company’s professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and oversee general and detailed cleaning duties to maintain site hygiene and presentation

Supervise a team of cleaners and allocate daily/weekly tasks based on site schedules and priorities

Conduct site inductions, safety briefings, and ongoing staff training

Act as the primary contact for clients, building management, and Allied leadership

Respond promptly to client feedback, requests, or concerns and escalate as needed

Perform regular quality assurance inspections and submit service reports

Enforce WHS compliance and safe work practices across all team members

Maintain accurate stock records, place consumable orders, and ensure cleaning equipment is operational and stored correctly

Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues according to Allied’s procedures

Accurately sign in and out using Allied’s live time and attendance system to ensure real-time tracking of shift compliance and site presence

Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential:

Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and team supervision

Strong leadership, task management, and interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management

Sound time management and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure

Good English communication skills

Mandatory Requirements:

Valid Australian work rights

National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

White Card and/or Working with Children Check (if required by site)

Desirable:

Previous experience in client-facing or contract service environments

Familiarity with quality assurance and WHS compliance processes

Understanding of cleaning KPIs and reporting expectations

Valid Driver’s Licence - beneficial for mobile roles, multi-site work, or early/late shifts with limited public transport

Working Conditions

Combination of physical cleaning duties and team supervision

Exposure to cleaning products and chemicals

Work may be performed during early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays depending on site requirements

May include working in varied environments including offices, schools, retail centres, and industrial facilities

Performance Expectations:

Deliver consistent site-level cleaning standards in line with client and contract requirements

Maintain a productive and motivated cleaning team through clear task delegation, effective communication, ongoing support, and recognition of performance and effortEnsure WHS compliance and incident response is proactively managed

Communicate issues or risks to Allied’s Area or Operations Managers in a timely and professional manner

Work collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrate openness to feedback for continuous improvement
