As part of our development team, we have an opportunity for a site manager to project manage and lead the on site works for a luxury homes in Black Rock and support our aged care construction works delivering fitouts in a live environment.

Who are you?

A self starter with detailed eye and ability to manage everything on a site. Someone who can take the lead, manage the subcontractors and suppliers.

Taking the lead as the site manager, you are expected to manage all safety requirements for our sites. This includes managing tool box talks, site inductions, safety assessments and ensuring subcontractors abide by the safe work method statement and risk assessments.

Coordinating site access, materials and providing regular feedback (written and oral reports) to ensure the works are completed on time and on budget and to a high quality.

Although the majority of the works is supervising trades, it is expected that a certain percentage of your work will be on the tools. As such previous experience in completing works yourself will be expected.

Ideally you will have/be:

Extensive experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry

Hands on experience gained within a contractor environment in similar industries

Understanding of budgets and cost control to ensure that the site works are optimised and managed profitably

Passionate person who likes a challenge

Has a keen eye for detail

Execute the role to an extremely high standard

Be accountable and holds other trades accountable when/if running sites

Be able to follow procedure

Honest

Outstanding organisation and communication skills

Has the ability to problem solve

Well presented

Polite, respectful and works well with others

Punctual

This opportunity will require successful candidates to undergo a medical and police check as well as hold working with Children's Clearances.

Minimum Requirements for Role:

Over 7 Year’s similar experience.

Strong carpentry experience e.g. certificate III in Carpentry preferred

White Card and any other relevant trade licenses

Take direction from project managers

A thorough knowledge of construction procedures, preparations and sequencing of a build.

Able to read and execute construction and engineering plans

Understands National Construction Code

Strict adherence to OH&S safety policies and procedures

Professional and polite communication when liaising with architects, client, sub-contractors, suppliers and company staff

Able to meet deadlines

Holds a current driver's license

Have own vehicle preferred

Comprehensive range of own tools
