Graduate Civil Engineer

Work Location: onsite at Whelans Group Operation Centre, Bairnsdale.

Employment Type: Full Time

Commencement: As soon as possible

Renumeration Range: $70,000 to $90,000 per annum, plus superannuation

Position Overview

Launch your engineering career with purpose - We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Regional Civil Construction team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of civil projects, working onsite and alongside a team of professionals who will support your growth every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you’ll be involved in:

Assisting with planning, design, and delivery of civil construction projects

Supporting site inspections, quality assurance, and compliance activities

Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met

Preparing reports, documentation, and technical drawings

Learning industry best practices and contributing fresh ideas to improve outcomes

Qualifications and Requirements

We’re seeking someone who is:

Recently graduated (or soon to graduate) with a degree in Civil Engineering

Passionate about infrastructure, construction, and making a tangible impact

A clear communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow within a supportive team

Familiar with basic engineering software and Microsoft Office tools

Eligible to work in Australia and willing to travel to regional project sites
