Field Analytics Technical Officer

Location: Brisbane / Darra, Queensland

Contract: 2-month contract

Rate: $34.65 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a Field Analytics Technical Officer for a 2-month contract to support the delivery of analytical field services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

• Programmed and responsive sampling and monitoring for water and wastewater clients.
• Maintenance of in-situ monitoring equipment.
• Observational monitoring.
• Carrying out a specified range of complex tests to verify that specifications are met.
• Following mandatory procedures and methods of work to safeguard the environment and personal wellbeing.
• Providing quality service to customers, which may include processing cases and resolving customer problems.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional enquiries by following procedures.
• Prioritise your own workflow to ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation by generating new ideas.
• Carry out standard installation activities under detailed guidance.
• Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems using previously defined solutions.

Skills and Experience:

• Education: Certificates in a relevant field such as laboratory or science, a trade qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience analysing data trends for use in reports.
• Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems with guidance.
• Skilled in optimising work scheduling to achieve performance targets.
• Competent in using standard office equipment and software packages.
• Knowledge of managing and applying safe systems of work.
