About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Analytical Chemist on behalf of our client, you will manage and maintain critical laboratory instruments while supporting the daily operations of a busy research lab. Working alongside experienced scientists, you’ll further develop your analytical skills, gain troubleshooting experience, and may also contribute to project-based research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain key analytical instruments (ion chromatography, carbon analyser, potentiometric titrator)

Monitor instrument performance using QA tools such as control charts and logbooks

Troubleshoot equipment and assist in resolving performance or data issues

Support laboratory safety and implement process improvements

Manage spare parts and consumables

Perform general laboratory and facilities upkeep

Assist with proficiency testing activities (e.g., sample splitting)

Contribute to supervised technical projects as capacity allows

Skills and Experience Required:

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field

2–3 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of QA/QC processes and statistical analysis

Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Excel (including macros)

Valid C Class Licence
