Are you a passionate and experienced land manager with a strong connection to Indigenous culture and conservation?
The Framlingham Aboriginal Trust is seeking four dedicated IPA Rangers to join our team. We have two full-time and two part-time positions available for individuals committed to the management and protection of our Indigenous Protected Area.
This is a chance to play a vital role in preserving the cultural and environmental values of the Framlingham forest and Deen Maar IPA's. You will be a key part of a community-led organization dedicated to land management, conservation, and creating opportunities for our community to connect with Country.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Carrying out land management and conservation tasks within our Indigenous Protected Areas.
Engaging with the community to raise awareness of our cultural heritage and environmental goals.
Monitoring and reporting on the health of the natural environment and cultural sites.
Contributing to the development and implementation of our Indigenous Protected Area management plan.
Collaborating with government agencies and other land management groups.
Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in land management, conservation, or natural resource management.
A deep understanding of Indigenous land management practices and cultural heritage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
The capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
A current driver's license and a willingness to travel within the local region.
