Supporting a Partner and Team in the Government division (Public Law, Admin Law)

The Role

You will be working as a Legal Assistant of a national law firm. You will be supporting a Partner and the team in the Government division.

Your duties will involve -

• Opening of new matters and closing and archiving of completed matters
• Conducting conflict searches
• Diary management
• Telephone calls with clients, Courts/Tribunals, other law firms, and third parties
• Drafting and amending routine correspondence
• Preparation and filing of court documents and arranging service
• Collating briefs to Counsel and other experts
• Electronic and hard copy filing and setting up sub-folders for electronic files
• Digital dictation
• Monthly billing, including invoicing and preparation of bills.

Your experience

You will have a minimum of 1 years Legal Assistant experience.

The Firm / Salary / Benefits

National mid tier law firm of 90 staff, yearly salary/performance reviews, paid parental leave, end of month drinks, induction training. Salary negotiable, dependent upon experience (between $75000 - $85,000 including superannuation). Also offer 1 day a week WFH after training.
