A Chef position with Resthaven offers you regular, daytime working hours, giving you a healthy work life balance and job continuity. Exercise your culinary prowess using quality fresh ingredients to create appealing menus for residents, with colour and texture appropriate for a diverse clientele.
Working across our Retirement Living sites in the North-Western and Inner Southern Suburbs, this Casual Chef position would span working hours from 8:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
Essential Criteria:
- Preparation, cooking, presentation and delivery of meals and drinks to the residents and guests in the Dining room
- Ensure Food Safety Plan practices are maintained and complied with at all times.
- Undertake that food service delivery is maintained between shifts and departments
- Planning of Food services in consultation with other relevant staff in accordance with identified needs
- Management of food services to ensure that they contribute to overall required resident and Village outcomes
- Produce and supplies are ordered and managed to ensure efficient operation
- Materials, supplies and equipment needs are monitored.
You will get to know your diners and their preferences, and take pride in contributing to their enjoyment of everyday life.
