The role
Nurse Next Door - Bayside is seeking a passionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our dynamic team in Elsternwick, VIC 3185. These are casual positions where you will play a crucial role in providing personalised in-home care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities and care needs.
The locations
St.Kilda, Bentleigh, Brighton, Hampton, Moorabbin, Highett, Cheltenham area
What you'll be doing
Providing compassionate and dignified care to improve the quality of life for our clients
Promoting independence, social inclusion and community engagement for our clients
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and light housekeeping
Connecting with your client, their family and the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
Maintaining detailed client records and documentation
Adhering to all workplace health, safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a Caregiver, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Caregiver working with people with disabilities
Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
A caring, patient and empathetic attitude, with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Strong organisational and time management skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification
A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred, but not essential
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Manual Handling certification or demonstrated experience
Full working rights in Australia are essential
