We’re looking for a super-sharp, hands-on and highly experienced operator to join our fast-growing email and SMS marketing agency as we enter our next stage of scale.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where you’ll own the day-to-day operations of the business – leading the team, improving delivery, and building the systems that take us from great to world-class.
We’re a young, dynamic team obsessed with e-commerce marketing, and we expect the same level of drive, commercial awareness and operational excellence from the person in this role.
About the Company
Strike Copy started in 2020 as a one-person freelance operation and has quickly grown into one of Australia’s leading email and SMS marketing agencies.
We now work with some of the country’s most recognised eCommerce brands – including Neptune Blanket, Optislim, Naked Tallow, and Mumilk – and have a growing team of 15+ talented contractors and employees.
We focus on one thing and do it exceptionally well: Email and SMS marketing through Klaviyo.
This singular focus has fuelled our rapid growth, but as we scale, we’re now hitting natural capacity limits.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for someone who can take the reins on operations – building the team and systems that allow us to grow sustainably while maintaining our world-class service.
Role Overview
As Strike Copy continues to scale, we’ve reached a natural capacity point where we need someone to own the client fulfilment side of the business.
We’re managing a large volume of projects across multiple clients every day, and it’s becoming increasingly complex to maintain the same level of excellence without a strong operational leader.
In this role, you’ll oversee all day-to-day operations, lead and develop our client delivery pods, and ensure every project is delivered at the highest standard.
You’ll also be a key strategic partner on client accounts – working closely with the team to drive results and make critical marketing decisions for each brand we serve.
We’re looking for a natural operator who thrives on structure, loves working directly with clients, and can clean up, optimise, and scale our client fulfilment operations while freeing up the founder to focus on growth.

Key Responsibilities
As Head of Operations, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the business runs smoothly day-to-day and that every client receives world-class service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage the client delivery pods – oversee account managers, creatives, and strategists to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and at the highest standard.
Own all client fulfilment and operations – create structure and processes that allow us to handle a high volume of client work without compromising quality.
Be a strategic partner on client accounts – guide key marketing and account-level decisions to drive measurable results for every brand we serve.
Lead onboarding calls with new clients and internal team kickoffs – set the tone for relationships and ensure projects start on the right foot.
Implement and optimise agency-wide systems – streamline onboarding, project management, reporting, and quality assurance.
Monitor key performance metrics – track client satisfaction, delivery timelines, and profitability, taking proactive action when targets are off track.
Develop and grow the team – coach and mentor team members, run regular check-ins, and build a culture of accountability and high performance.
Plan and allocate resources – manage team bandwidth, forecast future needs, and lead recruitment when required.
Own escalations – resolve client and internal challenges swiftly and decisively, protecting relationships and keeping projects on track.
Free up the founder – take full ownership of operational and client delivery tasks, allowing the founder to focus on growth, partnerships, and vision.
About You (Ideal Candidate)
We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable in the detail as they are leading from the front. You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Have 2+ years in senior operations, general management, or account leadership roles, ideally within a marketing, creative, or digital agency environment.
Are a natural leader – you know how to get the best out of teams, coach individuals, and build a culture of accountability and high performance.
Are highly client-focused and commercially minded – you can handle escalations, lead client onboarding calls, and ensure every client feels supported while keeping projects profitable.
Are a builder – you enjoy creating systems, processes, and dashboards that make the business more efficient and scalable.
Can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution – you’re happy to roll up your sleeves while also looking ahead at how to structure for the next stage of growth.
Have a strong understanding of resource planning, budgets, and margins – you know how to keep a service business healthy.
Are comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift and you’re trusted to make decisions.
Have plenty of experience with eCommerce brands, lifecycle marketing, and Klaviyo.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $120K–$135K AUD base + strong performance bonus structure.
Bonus Potential: Up to $20K–$30K AUD annually (paid quarterly) based on measurable KPIs:
Client retention
Gross margin
Delivery & client satisfaction metrics (on-time delivery, positive feedback/NPS)
Total potential earnings: $140K–$165K AUD annually for top performers (base + bonuses).
Clear pathway to a full COO position: Elevate into a true COO role within 12–18 months with increased compensation, equity options, and broader leadership responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
Long-term upside: Eligibility for equity or profit-share after 12 months of strong performance.
