Venue Operations Assistant – Casual
Band 4A: $39.38 per hour plus 25% casual loading
Are you our next Venue Operations Assistant?
We are looking for candidates with a passion for providing unforgettable customer experiences, a mind for problem solving and a drive for excellence in event delivery.
Our venue hosts events including corporate functions, conferences, gala evenings, weddings, commercial and community events, as well as our internal program of events and activations.
Key responsibilities:
Meeting and greeting facilitators and guests
Conducting venue inductions and safety briefings
Set up/pack down of furniture and staging
Troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment, and operation of audio-visual equipment
Cleaning, re-stocking inventory, consumables, and hospitality provisions
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with different people
A proactive, can-do attitude where no problem is too big to solve
A passion for working collaboratively and providing exceptional customer service
A drive for excellence in event delivery and an eye for detail
Prior experience in events, audio visual technologies, arts, or hospitality is a bonus but not a must

Important details:
Only candidates who have working rights to work in Australia will be considered.
The successful candidate must provide prior commencement a clear Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and national police check, no older than six months
Minimum requirements of availability to be considered for GRLC venue hire casual is 10 hours over a fortnight period at times that align with venue operations and activity, including early morning and late evenings on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
