Finance Officer (Short Fixed Term Contract)

This is a temporary contract for 3 days per week (days flexible) for a 9 week period from Monday 29/09/2025 to Friday 28/11/2025.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, The Finance Officer will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in providing accounts payable, receivable and financial support, this includes:

Reconciliation and follow up of credit card statements and receipts.

Assistance with accounts payable processing, as required.

Maintenance of debtors’ ledger, and assistance in following up on overdue accounts.

Follow up and process receipts, donations, monies received by YouthCARE.

Reconciliation for donor and customers’ accounts.

Assistance with preparation of invoices and credit notes for schools, as required.

Physical bank deposits as required.

Liaise with customers and donors in a professional manner.

Reconciliation of bank statements.

Process transactions as required into the finance system.

Assistance in preparation of various YouthCARE financial reports.

Assistance with finance to process and budgeting as required.

Assist line manager with month end processing and journals.

Maintenance and management various payment systems used.

Essential Selection Criteria

All applicants must be an Australian Citizen and living in Perth, Western Australia.

Be able to support the Christian Mission and Vision of YouthCARE.

Qualification and experience in a relevant field (Accounting or Finance related).

Experience using accounting software packages.

Demonstrated skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
