About the opportunity
Do you have a passion for bringing people together, building community spirit, and supporting volunteers to thrive? Murray River Council is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Community Connections Officer to help foster engagement and strengthen the long-term sustainability of volunteer programs across our region.
In this role, you’ll:
· Build relationships with local groups and volunteers to create positive, lasting impacts.
· Support and guide community committees on governance, training, and best practices.
· Deliver the Volunteer Strategy, including recognition events and training programs.
· Work with Council teams to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable volunteer services.
Ideal Candidate profile
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable, and proactive professional who thrives on connecting with people and making a difference.
You will have:
· Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services or Volunteer Management (or equivalent experience).
· Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a diverse range of stakeholders.
· Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities to balance multiple priorities.
· A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting volunteer-driven initiatives.
· Current NSW Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.
