The Role:
As a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and confidentiality, and being the primary point of contact for the Unit, the Executive Support Officer will:
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Deputy Secretary Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMH&W), coordinating and monitoring action items and reporting requirements to ensure deadlines are met.
- Undertake a broad variety of tasks including coordinating and preparing highly confidential, complex documentation, undertaking research for briefings and background notes, minute taking, preparation of correspondence, organisation and scheduling of meetings and travel, and participation in project work as required.
You will need to:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Office of the Deputy Secretary, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and providing professional client services, including liaison with Ministerial Officers, senior Government staff, industry and the general public on behalf of the Deputy Secretary CMH&W.
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support including managing the flow of information and referral of matters for comment or further action to the appropriate Unit, managing the workflow, delegation and prioritisation of incoming and outgoing correspondence to the Office of the Deputy Secretary and preparing correspondence on behalf of the Deputy Secretary CMH&W.
- Coordinate, collate and report on Ministerial correspondence for the Unit including liaison with all staff and the Office of the Secretary regarding content and timeliness of draft responses.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
