The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to step into a busy and varied role at the head office of a leading national business. This position will see you managing end-to-end payroll across diverse employee groups, gaining hands-on experience with multiple pay cycles and award interpretations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of both weekly and fortnightly payrolls
• Maintain and update employee data in line with legislative and award requirements
• Resolve payroll queries promptly and professionally
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and compliance reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement and assist with payroll projects

About you

• Minimum 2 years' experience in full-function payroll processing
• Proficiency with large payroll systems (Chris21, Dayforce, ADP, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, EBAs, and awards
• Strong eye for detail, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative approach and confident communication style
