What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Manager, Strategy and Risk, this role will be responsible for:
Contributing to the development and implementation of the VEC's regulatory priorities and strategies in relation to political funding, disclosure and registration.
Leading or supporting projects that address key regulatory risks and compliance issues.
Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to evaluate risks and regulatory trends.
Preparing clear, strategic reporting and advice to inform senior leadership and improve regulatory practices.
Supporting business continuity and continuous improvement initiatives across the Strategy and Risk team.
What you will bring to the role
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislative frameworks to support compliant outcomes
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess data, identify trends and inform decision-making
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on collaboration and influencing outcomes
Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

About Victorian Electoral Commission
The Victorian Electoral Commission is an independent and impartial statutory authority established under Victoria's Electoral Act 2002.
The VEC conducts Victorian State elections, local council elections, certain statutory elections and polls, and commercial and community elections.
