Important update on location: this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the Event Strategy and Delivery (ESD) Branch during a period of growth and transition. Initially based at 530 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, the position will relocate to the new office at 465 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne. The new location will become the primary workplace for the ESD branch from January 2026, with some teams transitioning ahead of this date. This role will transition in October 2025.
What you will be doing
Reporting directly to Senior Manager, Field Operations and Support this role will be responsible for:
Leading the planning and delivery of field projects to support voting services across early voting, election day and mobile voting.
Supporting the design and implementation of operational processes across election hubs.
Monitoring project timelines and progress to ensure readiness and successful delivery.
Identifying and driving process improvements to optimise field operations.
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery outcomes.
What you will bring to the role
Experience managing complex projects in time-sensitive environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to analyse and improve operational processes.
Confidence in interpreting and applying policies or legislation to practical scenarios.
Commitment to the VEC’s core values.
