Evolve Therapy is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our clinic in Shenton Park.

This role has been created due to an upcoming maternity leave vacancy and the increasing need for an additional Occupational Therapist within our Adult OT team. The role is a contract position with the days and working hours shaped to match the successful applicants lifestyle and availability. Ideally we are seeking an OT to work 3-4 days a week however the hours can be flexible (ie: within school hours).

The position focuses on working with adults and primarily involves one-off assessments (such as Functional Capacity Assessments and SIL/SDA assessments. The caseload can also be shaped to offer ongoing support for daily living skills and independence, assistive technology (including recliners, beds, and shower chairs), and home modifications.

Our team consists of 9 Occupational Therapists, ranging from early career OT's through to highly experienced OT's.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience across early intervention, equipment and assistive technology, complex home modifications, home and living assessments (SIL/SDA) and functional capacity assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments in clinic, home, residential aged care, and community supplier appointments.

Primarily the caseload will be to conduct one off assessments and reports, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), Supported Independent Living (SIL), and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments.

If your skills and interest aligns with it, the caseload can include minor home modifications assessments, as well as assistive technology (low cost items, recliner chairs, beds, shower chairs, commodes and wheelchairs).

Support adults with a range of diagnoses, including ASD, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Spinal Cord Injury and Down Syndrome.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, current membership of Occupational Therapy Australia and professional indemnity insurance.

- The ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise tasks.

- The ability to work independently but also within a small team setting.

- Current WA driver’s license and car, as there would be local travel for home and community visits.
